How does film figure into your life?

"The Hobbit," planned for release in December, is getting a limited release in 48 fps. The nearest theater supporting this presentation is multiple hours away, according to wgtc.com, which froze my computer. Thanks. I'm still going. I don't care if I need to rent a motel room.

  1. do you think it's going to distract from the movie? i'm skeptical about seeing it in 48 instead of the classic 24p myself haha

but i'll give it a shot if it's playing anywhere near my house in 48

  3. They must plan this movie to be a bigger hit than the original trilogy. They are have been selling advanced tickets since late October. Having people go out of their way like this is an insane tactic to get more people interested. At this rate, people won't be able to normally buy a ticket- without advanced purchases- and see the movie until a month after its release...
